candle safety

We strongly advise our customers to follow the basics of candle safety. 

DON’TS

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Never touch or move a burning candle. Don’t touch or move it until completely cooled.

Do not burn more than 4 hours at a time.

Never use water to put out a candle. Do not burn a candle all the way down. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when ½ inch of wax remains. 

DO’S

Keep candles out of the reach of kids and pets.

Keep candles away from drafts or vents and in a well-ventilated area.

Trim the wick each time before burning to 1/4 to 1/8 inch. The safest way is to use a wick trimmer.

Keep the wax pool clear from any debris at all times. 

Keep candles away from anything that may catch fire and on a stable and heat-resistant surface. 

Extinguish a candle if the flame becomes too high or flickers repeatedly. 

Always keep a burning candle within your sight. 

Use a candle snuffer to extinguish a candle to prevent wax from splattering.

Make sure the candle is completely out and the wick ember is no longer glowing before leaving the room.
